As part of their mission of community support, United Way of Northern New Jersey partners with several organizations and volunteers for community development and fundraising events. Earlier this month, the 16 annual United Way Commercial Real Estate Network Legacy Luncheon brought together over 400 commercial real estate professionals. This charitable event was held to help raise money for Northern New Jersey families who struggle to access quality child care and early childhood education.

John Carton of J.D. Carton and Son Inc. took an active role as a member of the event committee, which involved the planning and execution of the luncheon. This event was successful in raising awareness and funds though activities including sponsorship from area businesses, industry leaders’ speaking engagements, and networking with sponsors, guests and community members. More than $155,000 was raised, with funds going towards enhancing our community and bettering the lives of children. The Ada Budrick Child Care & Learning Center in Boonton, NJ is one of the centers that is helped by the United Way, and their objective is to provide affordable childcare services for local families in Morris County. Mr. Carton was proud to be able to support our community and eager to be involved with the activities of our local United Way.
